What this site keeps
Nothing you type or drop into this site is uploaded. Every tool does its work in the page, on your own processor. The word counter counts in the browser, the scanner cleans your photos on the canvas in front of you, and the PDF is assembled here too.
You can check that rather than trust it. Open developer tools, watch the network tab, and use any tool on this site. You will see the page load and nothing else, because there is no endpoint here that accepts a file.
The one thing that does go out
The citation tool, and only when you ask it to look something up. Pressing look it up sends the DOI to CrossRef, or the ISBN to Open Library, and nothing else goes with it. Those are public catalogues and the request carries no part of your bibliography. Type your references in by hand and nothing leaves at all.
What is stored, and where
Three tools remember things between visits, using local storage in this browser on this device: your bibliography, your flashcard decks and their review schedule, and your assignment list. None of it is sent anywhere and none of it is readable by us, because there is no us in the loop. Clearing your browser data deletes it, and it will not appear on your phone or on a library computer.
Everything else is forgotten the moment you close the tab. The word counter saves nothing. The scanner saves nothing. The grade calculator saves nothing.
No accounts, no tracking cookies
There is nothing to sign up for, so we hold no email address of yours. There are no tracking cookies, which is why there is no consent banner. Your browser still asks this site for the page and its fonts, and the host records that request in a log the way every web host does.
The trade, stated plainly
No account means nothing syncs. Your decks live where you made them. That is the cost of not having a server, and it is a fair swap for never handing your coursework to a stranger. Export anything that matters.
